San Mateo County Deputies arrest woman who embezzled nearly $300k from her employer

SAN CARLOS, Calif. – Deputies with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a woman who embezzled nearly $300,000 from the San Carlos based company where she was previously employed.

In June of 2023, San Mateo County Deputies took a report for embezzlement from a technology company based out of San Carlos. Following an investigation that spanned several months, San Mateo County Detectives identified the suspect as 50-year-old Tina M. Cabudoy of Santa Rosa.

On March 20, 2024, with assistance from the Santa Rosa Police Department and in response to an arrest warrant, Cabudoy was taken into custody without incident and later arrested. Cabudoy was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for the following charges:

503 PC – Embezzlement
978.5 PC – Bench Warrant
