Suspect who robbed 7-Eleven in Millbrae arrested in San Francisco

MILLBRAE, Calif. – The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), arrested a suspect on Sunday who robbed a Millbrae 7-Eleven the day prior.

On Saturday, April 27 at around 3:30 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-Eleven located in the 400 block of El Camino Real in the City of Millbrae in response to a robbery that had just occurred.

Responding deputies learned that the suspect entered the store, stole multiple items, and then left. Moments later, the suspect reportedly returned with a metal rod. The suspect then assaulted an employee before fleeing the area in a vehicle. The employee received minor injuries in the incident.

 

 

Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect. Throughout the course of the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Meleane F. Havea, 36 of San Francisco.

On Sunday, April 28, SFPD located Havea in the 2900 block of San Bruno Ave. in San Francisco. Havea was taken into custody without incident, later arrested by deputies, and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for
the below listed charges.

245(A)(1) PC – Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
