Suspect on PRCS from Department of Corrections Arrested for Shoplifting

Location: Walgreens, 615 Broadway, Millbrae

Type of Crime: PC 666(b) – Petty theft with a prior 

Suspect: Randell Fields (30-year-old), South San Francisco, CA - ARRESTED

Millbrae, CA., On January 6, 2024, San Mateo County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a shoplifting incident at Walgreens, located at 615 Broadway, on the report of a theft in progress. The reporting party provided a detailed description, and Randell Fields was detained by responding deputies. Fields was positively identified as the suspect and the stolen merchandise was recovered.

Fields was already under Post-release Community Supervision (PRCS) due to a lengthy criminal history which includes previous shoplifting convictions. Based on this criminal history, Fields now faces a felony charge for the theft.

Subsequently, Fields was booked into the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City, where he is being held on a $10,000 bail.
